About Fusion Football
Bob Gagliano and Chris Thomas, come to you with 20 years of NFL experience having played alongside current and future Hall of Famers in addition to winning a Super Bowl.It was a 2004 coaching experience that prompted Chris and Bob to create this unique and special instructional environment. Not only did they manage to produce lengthy careers, but they were also serious students of the game. Specifically, Bob and Chris have the extraordinary understanding of the intricacies of the quarterback, tight end and wide receiver positions. Fusion participants have and will benefit greatly from their vast knowledge and experience with these intricacies that are methodically conveyed over the course of the clinic and introduced through their camps.
The Program:
It is not realistic to expect Fusion athletes to digest advanced instruction in an extremely consolidated period of time. That would not be efficient, nor would maximum results be achieved. Therefore, the Fusion Football Clinic follows a specific curriculum implemented over the course of 6 months. Two three-month sessions will be offered with the first session beginning in late January and the second session beginning May 8th, 2007. Attendance at both sessions is highly recommended if maximum results are expected, not to mention that the second session is an extension of the first session. It is important for participants to understand that there are few coaches, if any across the Western Region who can provide the private, skill specific, instructional environment and expertise that can potentially change the course of an athlete's future like Bob and Chris. Bob and Chris pride themselves in providing personalized training and therefore limit attendance in their clinics which has proven to be a priceless added value.
Bob and Chris have been known to take athletes from complete obscurity in their most critical year, their junior season, and elevate these same athletes' games to an unrivaled level their senior years, resulting in a full ride scholarship. In the past two years since inception of the Fusion Football Clinic, their instruction provided three of their eight seniors, who were not recognized as juniors, an opportunity to earn a Division 1 scholarship. Four of Fusion's eight seniors broke school records. Bob and Chris don't guarantee this outcome as that is in large part up to opportunity and the athletes' ability to employ their new-found skills, but commitment coupled with higher-level, NFL, skill instruction is a formidable combination. The earlier in your career you can access their expertise, the more opportunities you will have to gain collegiate exposure. Robby Leith, a participant during the inaugural year of the Fusion Football Clinic went from an 18 catch, 249 yard, 2 touchdown receiver as a starter his junior season, to a 71 catch, 1502 yard, 20 touchdown, 5th in the state receiving, 22 yard per catch receiver and full ride scholarship recipient his senior year. Again, this is not a guaranteed outcome, but it speaks volumes about the impact the Fusion Football Clinic can have.
The People:

Chris Thomas spent eight years at the NFL level, playing alongside Jerry Rice, Henry Ellard, Tony Gonzales, Isaac Bruce, Torry Holt, Kurt Warner and Trent Green. He was fortunate to have experienced two Super Bowl appearances winning one with the St. Louis Rams in 1999. In addition to being a gifted athlete, he innately understood the intellectual dynamics of the position that at every level created a vast advantage and endless arsenal of options, which he largely attributes to his extended career. He recognized that even at the NFL level, some highly touted receivers had not adopted or even comprehended some of these techniques and knowledge that could have improved their success. It is this experience, along with a one-year coaching tenure as a favor to a friend that prompted Chris to make available his higher-level knowledge associated with the position of wide receiver. In addition, Chris has always understood there is a speed, quickness and explosion necessary to have greater success at the position of wide receiver which has nothing to do with forty times. It is a mentality and training that allows even average speed wide receivers to play the position with a new power and explosion, which alone dramatically increases their success. Chris and Bob are firm believers in fully developing their participants and follow a road map allowing them to do so. Chris' passion for assisting athletes in becoming the "uncommon" player has proven invaluable to those fortunate enough to access his database.
